Sherry Thomas-Wyatt

Our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend Sherry Ann Thomas-Wyatt was called to her heavenly home early Friday morning April 30, 2021 at Riverside Hospital. She was born to Edwin O and Thelma J. Addison Thomas on August 17, 1964 in Suffolk, VA. She received her education in the Isle of Wight Public School System. Before becoming a member of Mount Tabor COGIC, where she accepted Christ. Sherry served as a choir director and usher at Sweet Haven Holy Church of God. She enjoyed her family; loved to watch Matlock, police shows, Y&R and General Hospital. She enjoyed good eating and was the life of the party. Her work experience included being employed as a babysitter to many, Kmart, Hampton Coliseum and 7-11. Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A. Wyatt, Jr., her parents and her sister Edwinna Thomas. Left to cherish her memories are her son Marvin L. Thomas, one brother, Randy Addison (Sabrina),three sisters; Evelyn Willis, Jean Thomas and Angela Thomas, one niece; Chiquita Thomas, three nephews; Alonza Thomas, Jarvis Thomas and Darius Wiggins, two great nephews; Malik Thomas, Sr., and Elijah Thomas,, two great- great nephews: Malik Thomas, Jr., and Messiah Thomas. three great nieces; Malia, Eny’jah and Anaiya Thomas. Many others treasuring Sherry’s life include five aunts, two great aunts, six uncles, two god siblings her Mother in law, Viola Wyatt and two sisters in law Cassandra and Gloria Wyatt, and a host of cousins friends and church family. Sherry fought her illness with faith and courage. She will be greatly MISSED but never FORGOTTEN. A Drive-in Celebration of Life will be held 11am Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Friday, May 7, 2021 from 4-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Wyatt is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
