Ronald Ellis

Ronald Lorenza Ellis was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 30, 2022 in Waverly, Va.

Ronald was a father, grandfather, uncle brother and a friend to many. He was a loving and caring person. "Duck" was a hard worker, he worked for many years at Indka Farm in Windsor, Virginia, and many years at Carroll Foods in Ivor, Va. "Duck" was always willing to help, he could always make you laugh, and family was always first.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Ellis, father Linwood Ellis, three sisters Annette, Carine, and Josephine; five brothers Lawerance, Robert, Richard, Alex, and Earl. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons Marcus Harris (Roielle Tassin), Edwin Harris(Krystle), Lamont Harris(Erica); five grandchildren, Amare Taylor, Ryder Harris, Royce Harris, Alilayjah Harris and Ayva Harris; four sisters, Virginia, Sisroe, Dorothy(Anthony), Noreen and Helen; two brothers Joe(Debbie) tony and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and a very special cousin and best friend Gwen.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 PM Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 3-6pm at the chapel. Please keep the Ellis family in your prayers.
