Willie Ray Todd, Sr. was born December 9, 1943 and departed on December 1, 2025 leaving behind cherished memories and loved ones.

Willie attended Isle of Wight Training School and worked for Smithfield Foods for over 35 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft.

Willie loved spending quality time with his siblings. He just enjoyed life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucie Bell Todd Diggs and George Gatewood and was raised by Perlie Diggs, Sr., along with Brenda Tynes, Gloria Diggs and Helen Simpson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Alberta Todd; two children: Barbetta Todd and Willie Ray Todd, Jr., (Jacqueline); two grandchildren, Jazemine Todd Evans (Willie) and Rashuan Todd (Jasmine);one great grandchild, Addison Todd; six siblings: Dorothy Diggs Brown (George), Thelma Diggs, Cynthia Diggs, Perlie Diggs, Jr., Andrew Diggs, and Audrey Diggs Cram (Richard); a host of nieces, nephews and a special loving caregiver of the home, Jacqueline B. Todd.

On Friday, December 5, 2025 viewing will take place from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at the Chapel. Interment will be private. Please keep the Todd family in your prayers.
