William J. Robinson

William was born September 20, 1957 in Suffolk, VA to the late William A. Robinson Sr. and Lillie W. Robinson. He attended Smithfield High School in Smithfield, VA. He was employed by Smithfield Packing Co. for several years and Farmer Service both of Smithfield, VA. On Thursday, September 19, 2019, William J. Robinson Jr. passed away at Sentara Hospice House, Virginia Beach, VA. He was a very kind person and enjoyed talking to everyone he met. He never knew a stranger. He was well-known in Smithfield as "Preacher" and was always on his bicycle or moped. He enjoyed a few hobbies: attending baseball games, landscaping and fishing. William leaves to cherish his memory six brothers Rollins A.Robinson, Woodrow W. Robinson (Angie), Michael L. Robinson (Joann) Jeffrey A. Robinson, Eric D. Robinson (Cheryl), Kevin R. Robinson (Veronica);three sisters Jacklyn Q. Joyner (Alfred), Linda R. Smith (Willie) and Grenda J. Robinson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Wednesday September 25, 2019 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Tuesday September 24, 2019 from 4-7pm also at the Chapel. Professional Services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
