William L. Robertson

Early Monday morning on May 3, 2021 at the family homeplace, God sent his angel for William Lawrence Robertson lovingly known as “Head”. Born February 6, 1937 to the late Wesley Poole and Sarah “Kate” Robertson in Rushmere, Virginia. He attended Lawrence School. William had a love for cars, listening to the CB radio, wrestling, Jet magazine and collecting guns. He also loved to fish. William retired from Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock after 25 years. William was predeceased by his siblings, Roy Lee Harris and Isabel Robertson. He leaves his daughters, Phillissia M. Clinton (Percell), Barbara H. Johnson; Marva L. Parker; sons, L. Darnell Randall, Edward B. Hines (Margo); brother, McKenzie Harris (Dottie), grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. A Drive-in Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place from 4-6pm on Friday, May 14, at the Shivers Funeral Chapel.
