Wathor Ricardo Hardy

W. Ricardo Hardy, 65 was born on November 19, 1958 to Wathor Otis Hardy and Cleo Shivers Hardy.

On Sunday December 31, 2023 Ricardo was called home to be with the Lord at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital..

Ricardo was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. His family meant the world to him. He enjoyed joking and talking about his favorite team, The Cowboys , but mostly the Lord. Ricardo could quote scriptures from the Bible and would tell you where you could find any book, verse you needed or wanted.

Ricardo was preceded in death by his parents Wathor Otis Hardy and Cleo Shivers Hardy, maternal grandparents David and Patty Shivers, paternal grandparents Joel and Thelma Hardy and mother in-law Iris O. Jarrett and father-in-law Plummer Jarrett, Jr.

Ricardo is survived by his loving wife, Arnette J. Hardy; his sons Markal Hardy, Dwayne and  Devin Jarrett. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his brother Darryl B. Hardy; sisters, Lorrie H. Tynes (Kelvin) and Angela Hardy, four sisters-in law and two brothers- in law and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.

Revelation 11th Chapter, Verse 19 - And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

A Viewing will take place Friday, January 5, 2023 at Shivers Funeral Chapel from 3-6pm. Please keep the Hardy family in your thoughts and prayers.
