Virginia Taliaferro Uzzle

Mother Uzzle entered into glory, departing this life on Monday, August 02, 2021 at the age of 94. She was a native of Isle of Isle of Wight County. She was born February 05, 1927, to the late Isaiah and Mary Taliaferro. She was a Lifetime member and Mother of Mt. Tabor Church Of God In Christ. In the last year of her life, she became a member of The Bibleway Evangelistic Tabernacle in Newport News, Va., there she returned to the foundation of Righteousness on a level that is rarely seen amongst the aged, and with confidence secured a place in the Kingdom. Some of her last words were “I have no fear of death”. She leaves to cherish her memory six daughter, Mary Compton (Sammy), Gloria Mann (Bishop W.H), Evylean Smith (Glenn) Barbara Felts(Kelly), Joyce Clemons, and Bernadette Holiday (Eddie) one son, Mckinley Uzzle Jr; one sister Velma Addiison, twenty-one grandchildren, and a host of great grands unto the fourth generation A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel BY INVITATION ONLY. Limited attendance will be strictly adhered to and required. Viewing will take place from 4-6 pm Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel.
