Virginia J. Hall

Our beloved Virginia Johnson Hall, born on June 21, 1966 transitioned from Earth to Glory on Wednesday, September 3, 2020. She was a native of Suffolk, Virginia and a graduate of Smithfield High School. She married the love of her life, Thomas Pernell Hall of Windsor, Virginia on May 20, 2000. Minister Hall was the youngest child of Joseph Alphonso Johnson and Edmonia Johnson. She was preceded in death by both parents, her brother in law, Larry Hall and a nephew, Dontae Johnson. Minister Hall loved God. She was dedicated to all that involved making his Kingdom work. She was a devoted member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, 5200 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA. She was a prayer warrior and an anointed Minister at that Branch of Zion. She diligently and willingly worked in whatever way she could to help enhance and grow the ministry. Minister Hall presently served on the ministerial staff and as church custodian. She previously served as church clerk, member of the usher ministry, sunday school secretary, womens gospel choir and senior choir and president of the pastor's aid ministry. She worked excellently as a homecare giver and loved taking care of her patients. Minister Hall is survived by her husband of 20 years, Thomas Pernell Hall; sons, Pernell Tyrell Hall and Kevon Anderson and her daughter, Shadae Hall of Windsor, VA; Siblings, Mary Brown(Jodie) of Sedley, VA; Joseph Johnson(Patricia), Windsor, VA; Margaret Young, Windsor, VA; Mary Johnson, Smithfield, VA, Rief Johnson, Smithfield, VA; Evelyn Johnson, Smithfield, VA; Mary Thomas(Fred), Windsor, VA; Helen Johnson, Smithfield, VA and James Johnson(Sandra), Windsor, VA; Two sisters in law, Patricia Hall and Eunice Shears, both of Smithfield, VA; devoted friend Ira Robertson Pinkney of Northern Virginia, her OBBC Church family and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. A Graveside Service will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, September 9,2020 at Christian Home Baptist Church Cemetery 20123 Longview Drive, Windsor, VA. Viewing will take place from 4-6 PM Tuesday at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Hall is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Hall Family in your prayers.
