Vernyce J. Porter

Vernyce J. Porter was born January 4, 1933 to John and Arletha Jefferson of Nansemond County, VA. The Lord called Vernyce home on May 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. In 1950 she married Bernard Porter and in 1958 moved to New York where she resided until 2017. Vernyce became ill and moved back with her family. She leaves to celebrate her memory a daughter, Ursula Eppes, son Gregory B. Porter, two granddaughters Chyna Eppes and Camryn Porter and her sister Alberta Croker, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family. Viewing will take place from 10 am to 1 pm May 18, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be private in Oakland Cemetery.
