Thelma Winslow Hall

On Friday May 18, 2018 our beloved Thelma Winslow Hall received her wings and passed on to her Heavenly home. Thelma was born July 15, 1950 in Windsor, VA to the late Roger and Elizabeth Winslow Johnson. She was educated in the Windsor School System. She worked at Gwaltney in Smithfield, VA for over 20 years. She enjoyed going to church, playing Bingo and spending time with her family. Thelma leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband Larry D. Hall of Newport News, VA; a daughter Linda Bailey (Valerie) of Newport News, VA; an adopted daughter Cassandra Johnson (Charles) of Hampton, VA; three brothers Nelson Oneal Winslow of Suffolk, VA, Roger Johnson (Felicia) of Newport News, VA and Larry Green of Smithfield, VA; four sisters Sylvia Bailey (Cletis) of Newport News, VA, Josephine Holloman of Smithfield, VA, Christine Batten and Yvonne Boyce (Rufus); aunts Shirley Gray and Catherine Holloway of Smithfield, VA; a special sister Willie Osby of Smithfield, VA; three grandsons Jerry Winslow of Waverly, VA, Darnelle Boyce of Hampton, VA and Dominique Johnson of Hampton, VA; three granddaughters Shere Crudup (Laron) of Hampton, VA, Khadijah Johnson of Hampton, VA and Tarae Peeden (Stevie) of Hampton, VA; four great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am Friday, May 25, 2018 at Shivers Funeral Chapel Smithfield, Va. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 4-7pm at the chapel. Professional services are entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
