Sylvia Jones Hotson

Sylvia Jones Hotson was called home to be with the Lord on September 19. 2023 in Brooklyn , NY. Sylvia was born on July 13,  1948 in Newport news to the late John Edward Jones and Thelma Jones  Custis. She was educated in Isle of Wight County Public Schools. She moved to new York in 1968 where she resided until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents John Edward Jones and Thelma Jones Custis; stepfather Samuel L. Custis; husband John Hotson; sister Annie Pearl Jones; brother Luther C. Jones; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Ross Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory, brothers; Leamon Jones, John Jones (Carolyn) and Edward Jones (June) ; special friend James Morrison and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A  Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Macedonia A.M.E. Church. Carrollton, VA. Viewing will take place Friday, October 6, 2023 from 3-6pm at the Chapel. Please keep the Jones-Hotson family in your prayers.
