Shirley Brodie Eley

Shirley Jean Brodie Eley, 76, of Firetower Road, Zuni, Va. transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, August 25, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Brodie and Mary Madgelene Chapman Brodie. Jean was a member of Chapel Grove United Church of Christ in Windsor, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband; John Eley and two brothers; Morris and Edward Brodie. She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her two daughters; Shirley Ann Eley Warren (Edwin) and Angela Kelly (Calvin), two sons; Milton Eley (Donna) and Terence Eley. She is also survived by her loving sisters; Nell Parker, Oreita Obie, Phyliss Brodie, Mary Williams (Johnny), and Daisy Brown, two brothers; Reginald Brodie (Cynthia) and Raymond Brodie, nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a multitude of other loving family members. A Celebration of Life service will be held 12pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Chapel Grove United Church of Christ, Windsor, Va. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 4pm - 7pm at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Chapel Grove United Church of Christ cemetery, Windsor, Va. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
