The Life of Savannah L. Phillips
Deaconess Savannah L. Phillips was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. On the evening of February 13, 2024, Savannah entered eternal rest at Maryview Hospital surrounded by her children. Savannah was born to the late Roger and Lillie Greene.
She worked for forty-five years at Smithfield Foods before retiring. Savannah was an active and faithful member of her church, Greater Mount Zion C.O.G.I.C. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially spoiling her grandkids. For those that knew her knew she loved to talk.
Savannah enjoyed taking care of others because she never met a stranger. Every person in the world, to her, was just family she hadn’t met yet.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three daughters LTC(R) Danielle Eley, Shanikqua Eley, Kendra Spratley and bonus son Roderick Spratley; five grandchildren Erica White, Michael Gaynor, King Gaynor, Gabrielle Moody and Radnaisa Spratley; three siblings Roger Greene, Anita Lane and Earl Greene; brother-in-law David Hicks and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her passing leaves a great void and many with heavy hearts remember she may be gone in body but she is still with us in spirit. We will cherish every memory of her.
Mom, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
