Roy Lee Artis, Jr

Roy Lee Artis, Jr., 50, was born on February 14, 1971. He transitioned from this earthly life Saturday June 19, 2021, at his residence. He was born to his parents Roy Lee Artis, Sr and Virginia Jones White. He attended Warwick High school in Newport News VA. After high school he became a Truck Driver which he loved. After some health challenges, he retired on disability. He started his own successful business Roy Artis’ Lawn Care. His last business was a joint venture with his brother Marvin MA and RA Pressure Washing. Roy loved working on his 1987 Chevrolet Caprice and getting it into tip top racing condition, all types of cars, and motorcycles. His favorite sports team was the Washington Redskins now known as the Washington Football Team. Roy leaves to cherish his memory, his parents Roy L. Artis, Sr., (Geraldine Pittman) Windsor, VA and Virginia White and Elliot White (Stepdad) Newport News, VA, his brother Marvin Artis (Regina Artis) Virginia Beach, VA, his sisters; Britney White, Newport News, VA, Sharetta White Jones (Russahn Jones) Newport News, VA Christle Hill (Keith Hill) Newport News, VA and Courtney Artis, Scotland Neck, NC Several uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews will remember his loving ways. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Friday, June 25, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel BY INVITATION ONLY. Limited attendance will be strictly adhered to and required.
