Rosemary "Chee Chee" Wiley

December 28, 1947 — October 31, 2022

Rosemary (Williamson) Wiley (Chee-Chee) was born on December 28, 1947 in the Bronx, New York to John Frederick Williamson of Georgia and Laura Belle (Grimsley) Williamson (Labo) of Florida. On August 22, 1965 Chee-Chee married Harold Albert Wiley Jr. (Butch) and had 3 children Harold Albert Wiley III, Hope Adele Wiley Randall and Heather Ann Wiley Ginn. Chee-Chee, as a military spouse, guided the family at home during times of peace and times of war as Butch served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Along with raising the family, Chee-Chee was a healthcare professional as a Medical Administrator Secretary Team Lead with Sentara for over 25 years. She was also a professional middle eastern dancer who designed and made her own costumes. And, as an indicator of her fierce belief in living a life of joy, Chee-Chee was also a proud member of the Red Hat Society which encourages women to grow older in a playful manner. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, hosting holidays, celebrating life with family, and was an avid crafter and quilter making gifts for loved ones; all of which she did with her unique New York flair! On Monday, October 31, 2022 Rosemary Wiley loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and sister-friend passed at age 74. She is proceeded in death by her father and mother (mentioned above), and her brother John F Williamson (Chucky). Chee-Chee’s legacy of belief in family, the joy of living, and self-expression through dance and crafts will live on through her sisters Venus Williamson Townsend (Jessie Townsend), Gaile Williamson Jarmond (Tony Jarmond - deceased), her brother Carl Williamson (Susan Williamson), and her children Harold Albert Wiley III, Hope Randall (Frederick Randall Jr-deceased), and Heather Ginn (Dawan Ginn); along with her 6 grandchildren: Queenie, Rona, Haleigh, Ariana, Alanna, Anniah and one great-grandchild Rhythm … along with a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held 11am on Tuesday, November 08, 2022 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place on Monday, November 07, 2022 from 3-6pm at the chapel. Interment will be held at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery at 10:00am on Wednesday, November 09, 2022 . Please keep the Williamson-Wiley family in your prayers.
