Ronzell Roberts

On Wednesday, April 21, 2021 Deacon Ronzell Roberts transitioned to his heavenly home while surrounded by his loving family.

 He was born to the late Deacon Elmo F. and Deaconess Elnora Clarke Roberts. He was educated in the Isle of Wight County School System. Ronzell was married to the former Valerie Outlaw. Together they raised two sons. He accepted Christ at the early age of 12 and became a member of Sandy Mount Baptist Church. He rededicated his life to Christ in 2015. Ronzell was a member of both the Celestial Choir and the Male Chorus. He served on the Senior Usher Ministry, Security Staff and Brotherhood Ministry. He had been employed at Smithfield Packing Plant before later becoming self employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; William Earl Roberts and Daniel Roberts, nephew; Darrell Chapman and niece Chole' Davis. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Valerie Roberts; one sister Viola Katherine Chapman; two brothers Frederick Roberts and Donzell Roberts (Sarah) two sons; Daryl Outlaw and Kelli Outlaw (Bernadette). He also leaves five brothers- in- law; David Outlaw, Tyrone Hunter (Debra), Derek Outlaw (Kenya), Eric Outlaw (Vonda) and Juan Outlaw (La'Rhonda) two sisters- in- law; Linda Lassiter (Mack) and Sharon Baker (Kenny), seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Graveside Service will be held 12 pm Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, 14165 Racetrack Road, Ivor, VA 23866. Viewing will take place from 4-6 pm Monday, April 26, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Mr. Roberts is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
