John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. it was a beautiful day in Windsor, VA; the sun was shining, the wind slightly blowing and Evelyn Marie Pittman was in intense labor with her first born. As the day progressed she gave birth to a jovial and handsome baby boy. His father, Charlie B. Pittman gave him the distinguished name of Ronnie Bernard Pittman Ronnie Bernard Pittman, transitioned to his heavenly home on Monday, March 1 0, 2020 at Sentara General Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk, VA. He was the son of the late Charlie B. and Evelyn Marie Pittman. He was predeceased by his brothers, Reverend Charles A. Pittman, Sr. and James T. Pittman, Sr. Ronnie was educated in the Smithfield Public School System. He was a member of First Baptist Burdette Church in Franklin, VA and served faithfully on the Usher board. Ronnie was an avid football fan. Hisfavorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. He was a family man and would do anything for his grandkids. He loved fishing and loved family gatherings. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted daughter, Seleita Smith, a granddaughter, Sakiyah Smith-Ensley, a grandson, Damian Ford; two sisters, Shirley Bailey (Lafayette) and Patsy Tucker (Darnell), a sister-in-law, Tina Pittman; five aunts; Juanita Fleetwood, Barbara Brown (Bernard), Elsie Porter, Rachel Jackson and Viola Boone; one uncle, Harvey Porter; a special friend whom he loved dearlyTammy Gregory, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. We miss and love Ronnie, but God loved him more!

Burial Date March 16, 2020

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 PM Monday March 16, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place from 2-5 Sunday March 15, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the family in prayer. Mr. Pittman is in the loving care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
