Rhonda A. Wright

Rhonda "Cookie" Wright 61 was called home on October 4,2020. She was born October 17, 1958 in Norfolk, VA to her parents Ryland William Wright, Sr., and Clara Bernice Wright. She enjoyed caring for people in her job as a certified nursing assistant. Rhonda loved gardening, listening to R and B Music especially Anita Baker. Rhonda's two brothers Anthony and Ryland Wight, Jr. predeceased her. Rhonda is survived by her ex-husband William Jerome Washington and their two children; Corrida Shontrell Wright and Courtney Michelle Wright, three grandchildren; Angel Nicole Wright, Jordan Makayla Wright, and Mila Brielle Gannon. Two sisters; Dian Williams and Elaine Wright and her long-time partner Bay Boy Winnegan. "Cookie" will be missed greatly by her family, friends, neighbors, and community. A Graveside Celebration will be held 11am Saturday October 10, 2020 at Portsmouth City Park. Viewing will take place Friday October 9, 2020 from 4-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel.
