Rhonda L. Flood, 45, transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday August 11, 2021 in Newport News, Va. Rhonda was employed by I am Companion Home Health Care LLC. Rhonda was loved by everyone and will be remembered for her larger than life spirit. Rhonda was born on September 21,1975 to Jeanette Flood and the late Frederick Boyce. Rhonda was born in Suffolk,Va and raised in Smithfield, Va. She was preceded in death by her father Frederick Boyce, granddaughter Erin smith, grandson Jaiden Smith, grandparents Joseph and Marie Flood, Ruth Boyce Clayton, Fred Giles, Arthur and Melvin Clemons, Aunts Ruby Clemons, Louise Claggett, Uncles Jerry Boyce and Charles Boyce. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Jeanette Flood. Four loving children, Markas Flood, Travis Flood (Abril), Kiara Smith, and KeAndre Ricks. Sister, Alma Flood. Step sister Charnell King. Grandson’s Matthew Smith, Tahj Smith, and Kaiden Newsome. Aunts Darnelle Jefferson, Drucilla Goodman, Cherry James, and Bernadette Boone (Randy) and Uncle Rufus Boyce (Yvonne),Close friends Destry Crocker, Mary Eley, Keisha Smith, Tuwana Crocker, and a host of family & friends who loved her & will miss her dearly. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel BY INVITATION ONLY. Limited attendance will be strictly adhered to and required.
