Reginald Wilson “Reggie”, entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2023, in Richmond, VA. He was born April 29, 1957, to the late Rosa and Melvin Wilson. He was a beloved and devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and much more.
He attended Smithfield Highschool, where he played football and was on the honor roll. He went to Virginia Union University, became a brother of the KAPPA ALPHA PSI Fraternity as a member of the Soulful Six, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He served in the US Army. He worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia for over 30 years. He also designed web pages for various companies. He most recently worked in the private sector serving in many roles where his knowledge and dedication was respected. He loved music, he played the Saxophone when the family would sing and played music together, his favorite song was “Oh Lord I Sing Your Praises. Reggie had many interests but was an avid golfer, he loved the game of golf so much that some days he played in the rain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two aunts and an uncle. He leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life a daughter; Raja Johnson, a grandson RezaCai Johnson; a brother Ken Wilson, a sister Cheryl Wilson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, siblings, and friends. His presence will be missed dearly by his family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm on Monday, January 23, 2023 at St. Phillip Pentecostal Church, 728 Ashley Ave., Suffolk Va. Viewing will take place on Sunday, January 22,2023 from 2-5pm at the Chapel. Please keep the Wilson family in your prayers.
