Raymond D Hargrave

Raymond Demontae Hargrave, 34, who so many called Bubba entered into eternal rest on June 17, 2026.

He worked for lawn care, tree services, landscaping, carpentry and a handyman.

He loved fishing, playing pool, drawing and he thought he was the best spade player ever. He also loved old school music. His sense of humor will be missed. He was unique in his own way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Hargrave, Sr., grandmother Barbara Hargrave and grandfather Paul Hill.

Raymond leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother Judy Hill; his beloved children; Nova Bailey, Alierah Hargrave and Drayden Thompson; grandmother Joyce Hill;  grandfather Clarence Hargrave; sister Nicole White (Terrell) and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, a special friend Jeannie Linkenhoker,  a devoted cousin Deneke Hill, and Shelia Warren who he admired a lot for being in his life.

When tomorrow starts without and I am not here to see, If the sun should rise you and find your eyes are filled with tears for me

I wish you wouldn’t cry the way you did today, While thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say I know how much you love me

As much as I love you,  And each time that you think of me I know you will miss me too.

So when tomorrow starts without me, Don’t think we’re far apart, For every time you think of me I am right here in your heart.

On Tuesday June 23, 2026 viewing will take place from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Sandy Mt. Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Please keep the Hargrave family in your thoughts and prayers.
