Randy C. Wrenn

October 3, 1971 — October 12, 2025

Smithfield

On October 3, 1971, the eighth of nine children, Randy Columbus Wrenn welcomed his way into the world. Although taken too soon on October 12, 2025, he lived a life filled with tenacity, discipline and loyalty. Randy was educated in the Isle of Wight County Public School System before honing in on his love for cars and becoming employed with Gwaltney Motor Company. He continued his career in the auto-industry as aQuality Detailer and Reconditioner with Duke Automotive for over 25 years. In addition, Randy was an entrepreneur for more than 18 years as co-proprietor of, Wrenn & Artis, a mobile detailing service that he started with his special cousin, Larry Artis. Randy was not a man of many words, but he could talk to anyone for hours about cars, cornhole, or the Pittsburgh Steelers. For as much as he was a car enthusiast or an avid Steelers fan, he was also a fourth-degree black belt with more than 32 years of practice in Mixed Martial Arts and mastery skill in Taekwondo, Hapkido and kickboxing. He served as an Instructor at Crook’s Martial Arts Academy where his students and peers affectionately referred to him as ‘Sabumnim’, also known as, Teacher. But, whether football, cars, cornhole, or, martial arts, neither compared to Randy’s greatest joy, his family.

He is survived by his beautiful daughter, Randa, who was the light of his life and his proudest accomplishment. Their bond was unbreakable, a testament to his unwavering love and guidance. He also leaves behind his beloved partner of 38 years, Angela Hunt, with whom he built a life filled with love, laughter, support, and shared dreams. Their partnership was rooted in love and friendship, and their faultless commitment and devotion was a testament of true love that spoke louder than vows. Randy is preceded in death by his mother, Eunice Wrenn; his brother, Aston Branch; and, two sisters, Deloise Branch and Randy’s twin sister who passed at birth. He leaves to cherish his memory, his partner, Angela Hunt; his daughter, Randa Wrenn; his father, George Wrenn, Sr; his sisters, Eunice Woodis (Calvin), and Laverne Butler, all of Smithfield, VA; his brothers, George Wrenn, Jr. (Laverne) of Newport News, VA, as well as, James Wrenn (Karen) and Christopher Bailey (Cheron), all of Smithfield, VA. And, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, with generations beyond, cousins and friends, all who will carry his memory with respect and proud appreciation. Though his body may no longer be with us, his spirit will live on. It’s in those memories that help you to smile in the still moments, in the knowledge he imparted to those he knew, and, in each person he inspired to fight harder, love deeper and to not ever take a single moment of life for granted.

Randy, until we meet again, rest well.
