Priscilla A. Winslow

Priscilla A. Winslow transitioned from this life on Thursday April 4, 2019 at Newport News Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Priscila Howard Winslow (Mook) born in Isle Wright County, Virginia. to the union of Samuel and Alverta Howard on July 25, 1943. She was the youngest of the Howard household. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt Sinai Baptist Church in Ivor Virginia. She always remain faithful to Christ, after leaving Smithfield she join Triumph Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Bishop Snead in Newport News Virginia.

She attended Smithfield Training School. She later completed her high school education in Newport News Virginia. Priscilla volunteered atWhittaker Memorial Hospital as a care giver for years.

Priscilla joined the Peace Benevolence and Joy Ministers, in January 2004 and became Mother of the church, under the leadership of Pastor Sharrell Bazemore, she was a faithful member until her health began to fail. Priscilla loved the Lord and her family, she loved meeting people.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lester, and sister Esther. She transition on April 4, 2019 in Newport News Nursing and Rehab Center.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters Leetrice Holmes (Samuel) Hampton, VA and US Army Staff SGT Vernetta Winslow (B.Braun) of Tucson AZ. One grandson Jason Holmes two great granddaughters Melaina and Jaden, and a special nephew Travis Diggs of Portsmouth, VA many cousin and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 pm Thursday April 11, 2019 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 4-7 pm at the Chapel. Professional Services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
