In Memory
Percell Lawrence Batten was called home August 8, 2023 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was born December 18, 1964 to Frances L. Chapman. Lawrence was educated in Smithfield, VA and graduated from Smithfield High School. He was employed at Newport News Shipbuilding for over ten years. Lawrence leaves a loving sister and many family and friends.
Special thanks to the staff at Sentara Obici Hospital and special thanks to his cousin Thomas W. Batten.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11AM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place two hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 9-11AM.
