On Friday Morning, February 21, 2014, Nicole Antoinette Shears was called home by her heavenly Father to soar on high with the angels.
Born on April 2, 1969, to Alex and Spencer Crocker, she was raised a beautiful young lady full of life and a love for God, She was a devoted mother, sister and daughter. Nicole attended Thomas Nelson Community College where she received an Applied Science Degree in Medical Billing and Coding.She was also a licensed Cosmetologist. Nicole worked for Riverside Health Systems for many years. She loved her job and all of the people she worked with. She enjoyed spending time with her children, friends and family. Even when her health began to fail, Nicole still pushed on. Her faith in God is what got her through.
Nicole leaves to cherish her memory, her fiancé, Jerry Faltz, two sons, Jerel and Jordin, two daughters, Skyla and Jamiah, her parents Alex and Spencer Crocker, three brothers, Ruffin Shears (Newport News, Va.), Anthony Shears (Smithfield, Va.), Brian Shears Jr. (Teressa) (Windsor, Va.), and three sisters Tiwana Shears (Suffolk, Va.), Aleshia Wynn (Smithfield, Va.) and Sonja Shears and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In the words of Nicole: " Momma, tell that man in the corner to hold my wings. I'm coming in a minute." II Corinthians 5:8
A Funeral Service will be held 12 noon Feb. 26, 2014 at Little Zion Baptist Church. Viewing Tues. Feb. 25, 2014 from 4-7 at the Funeral Chapel. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, VA.
