Nathaniel L. Cotten

Nathaniel Lee Cotton passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30 2025 at the age of 84.

Nathaniel was born on November 20, 1940 in Southampton County to the late Wylie Cotton and Mary M. Barrow

Nathaniel attended Westside School in Smithfield, VA. He worked at Gwaltney Packing Company and on the farm.

He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Virginia Williams, of Smithfield, VA; a sister in law Vicky Cotton of Windsor, Virginia; six nieces, four nephews, a host of cousins and friends; special cousin and caregiver Deloris Jones and a special friend Mildred Jered.

Nathaniel will always remain in hearts.

Viewing will take place from 12-3 PM Friday July 4, 2025 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 AM Saturday July 5, 2025 at the Chapel. Please keep the Cotten family in your thoughts and prayers.
