On Thursday, October 23rd, she peacefully transitioned from this life at her residence to be with the Lord. Mae Rose received her education in the Isle of Wight County Public School System. She was a dedicated and faithful employee of Gwaltney of Smithfield, where she worked diligently until her retirement. Mae Rose was best known for her loving spirit and kind heart. She had a genuine love for people, especially her family and friends. One of her greatest joys was cooking delicious meals and tending to her beautiful yard, where she found peace and happiness. A devoted woman of faith, Mae Rose was a longtime and faithful member of Main Street Baptist Church, where she served the Lord with sincerity and grace.

Denson; Patricia Taylor (John); Sylvia Mason; Weldon Denson; Cynthia Denson-Dandridge (Bernard); Latonya Denson; Troy Coltrane; Shannon Cooke; Renaldo Wellons; and James Alexander III (Rhonda); along with a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
