Loretta K. Johnson

Loretta Katherine Johnson age 74 passed away February 6, 2023. She was born August 6, 1948 to Ophelia Johnson and Jessie Thompson (deceased). She was predeceased by her daughter Doretha Johnson- Davis, sisters Lafrance Reese and Maggie Lias, and brother Leroy Pierce.

She was employed by Smithfield Packing and Farm Fresh. Loretta’s home was always open to many, no one was considered a stranger. Sher loved her computer, word puzzles and game shows.

Loretta is survived by her mother Ophelia Johnson, two brothers, Arnold and Reginald Johnson, one sister Rosa Burrell, her two sons Andrey (Marie) Johnson of Suffolk and Steven Johnson of Smithfield, one daughter, Aretha Johnson of Smithfield ;eight grandchildren, DeAndre, Steven Jr. Dominique, Brianna, Danielle, Takeirra, Katina, and LaTasha, plus ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am on Friday, February 10, 2023 at Mt. Lebanon Church of God in Christ, 1732 Mt. Lebanon Ave. Suffolk, Va.  Masks are required to attend the service. Viewing will take place from 3-6pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the chapel. Please keep the Johnson family in your prayers.
