Lorenzo Pearson, Jr.

Lorenzo Pearson Jr., 74, of Richmond, VA transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at VCU Hospital. Lorenzo Pearson Jr., was born on July 12,1947, to the late Andora Pearson and Lorenzo Pearson, Sr., in Emporia, Virginia. He graduated from Edward W. Wyatt High School in Emporia, Virginia. In 1966, he served our country as a member of the United States Army in the Vietnam War. In his young life he moved to East Orange, New Jersey and in 1978 he moved back to Smithfield, Virginia with his family and has resided in Virginia since then. He worked as a painter and in the construction industry for several years. His hobbies were watching cooking shows, fishing, and playing cards. Lo, as he was affectionately called, was a very loving person when it came to his family and you can’t forget about his love for ice. Lorenzo was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eunice E. (Bowser) Pearson. Lo and Eunice raised many (raise your hand if your one of them). In spite of his medical complications, he never complained. He fought hard to remain on earth with us but now he is no longer suffering and he is now at peace. He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Bruce Bowser and Michael Price (Latanya). Michael blessed him with a special granddaughter Mica Price, two grandsons, Melquan Price and Hasaan Price (Brionna) and his great-grandson Hasaan Jr. His granddaughter Tasheika Price, two sisters, Barbie Jean Tracey, and Crystal Smith (Andrew), one twin brother Loris Ben Pearson (Belle), two sisters-in-law, Juliaette Blackwell (Bishop Blackwell) and Francine Holloman (Chris), a brother-in-law James Bowser, and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He had a “special bond” with his great-granddaughter, Breanna Thornton (Marcus) and his great great-granddaughter Skylar. Skylar was able to spend her first 7 months with her PAPA and she would light up every time she saw him. Now he can tell Eunice all about her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am on Thursday, November 04, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place from 4-6pm on Wednesday, November 03, 2021 at the Chapel.
