Linwood White

Linwood Alpheus White transitioned from this life on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Suffolk, Va.

Linwood Alpheus White was born December 8, 1951 to the late Aaron White. Sr and Amy Lee Parker White. 

An Isle of Wight native, Linwood fell head over heels for the love of his life, Iris Odell Robertson, whom he lovingly married. Together their union raised 4 children.

 Linwood affectionately known by his family as “Daddy Lin” or “White Dog” by others, was a skilled carpenter and painter. His infectious comedic style kept those around him smiling and laughing. He loved his family and friends but also enjoyed the solitude of spending time with himself.

Linwood was preceded in death by his wife Iris of 33 years, father, Aaron White Sr, his mother, Amy Lee Parker White, three brothers, Thomas, Aaron Jr. and Pernell White.

Cherishing the memories of Linwood are daughters, Niva Moore of Hampton, VA and Walcenda White of Charlotte, NC; two sons, David White of Smithfield and Kendrick White and his wife, Hiromi currently stationed in Japan; three brothers, Arnold, Richard (Gwendolyn),and Larry Sr., (Marcella) and one sister, Katherine. Grandkids; Dacha Robertson, Anton Moore, Drekevin Moore, Ashanti and Alexecia Daniel, Davina White, David White, Jr., Jasmine Walker and Sarai; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family; Wayne Edwards, his lifelong best friend and other special friends will forever hold him in their hearts.
