Latoya N. Winnegan Williams

March 24, 1979 — February 27, 2015

Smithfield: Latoya Nakeita Winnegan, born March 24, 1979, entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was 35 years old. Latoya, lovingly known as "Boo-Boo", was a 1997 graduate of Surry County High School. She went on to further her education in the field of phlebotomy and nursing. She also worked as a receptionist at JC Penney in Hampton, Va., until her health began to fail. Latoya was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan and she owned a great deal of their accessories. She enjoyed filling out Sudoku puzzles and spending time with her family and friends. Latoya was preceded in death by her father, Raymond K. Winnegan, Sr.; her grandparents Robert H. Green, Rosa G. Green, Vernon O. Winnegan and Caroline A. Winnegan; and 1 cousin, Andre " Pookie" Wilson. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted mother, Stephanie Y. Winnegan, a brother, Raymond K. Winnegan, Jr.; grandparents Robert. H. Williams, Sr. and Lizzie M. Williams; a Goddaughter, Jayla Sykes; and a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A Celebration of life Service will be held 1:00pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Little Zion Baptist Church. Viewing will be held on Friday March 06, 2015 from 4-7pm at the chapel. Interment will be the Tynes Memorial Cemetery.
