Larry "BoJack" Holloway transitioned from this life on Saturday, August 09, 2025 in Sentara CarePlex Hospital.

Larry Junior Holloway, affectionately known as BoJack, was born on January 19, 1959, in Smithfield, Virginia. He departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Decatur Holloway, his brother Clarence Lee Holloway, and his sisters Jean Clemons and Patricia Robinson.

Larry grew up in Smithfield, where his charismatic personality and radiant smile quickly became his signature. He spent his career working diligently with Newport News Shipbuilding and Smithfield Packing, where he was admired not only for his hard work but also for his ability to connect with everyone he met—because Larry never met a stranger.

He found joy in traveling and road trips, exploring places like Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, and Minnesota, where he shared a special season of life living with his son. Most recently, Larry spent the last year and a half enjoying life residing in Newport News, Virginia, alongside his son. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Larry could often be found talking passionately about his team or shining up his beloved Cadillac, two of his greatest joys outside of family.

Larry’s memory will be cherished and celebrated by his son, Terrance A. Bynum; his grandson, Jaylen White; his sisters, Judy Holloway and Lillie Holloway; his brothers, Gary Holloway, Ricky Holloway, and Lonnie Holloway; and a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

On Thursday, August 21, 2025 viewing will take place from 4-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Chapel. Please keep the Holloway family in your prayers.
