Kyonne D. Edwards

Mr. Kyonne Deontrie Edwards gifted us with his presence on December 24, 2000. He transitioned to his eternal home on July 18, 2023. Though his life was brief, he was able to make a lasting impact on all whom he came in contact with.

Kyonne was educated in the Isle of Wight County School system. He graduated from Smithfield High School in 2019. At an early age, Kyonne developed a passion and love for football. He received many awards and trophies during his time on the field. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and close friends. Every morning you could count on Kyonne telling you to “Rise and Grind” or encourage you by saying “Let’s make today better than yesterday”. He will surely be missed by all who loved him.

Kyonne was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Martha Williams; grandfather Clarence Edwards; cousin Shelia Johnson; close friend Blaize Parker and his special friend A’Shoneya Tarshanik Rashayla Williams.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving mother Alyssia Crump; bonus dad and special friend Byron Crump; father James Tynes; grandmother Meeta Williams; siblings Rachael Barham, Tiara Tynes & Kahorie Batten; special God parents Kevin Parker & Christine Williams; uncles Darnell Edwards (Patricia) and Clarence Edwards; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Forever In Our Hearts.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 3-6pm also at the Chapel. Please keep the Edwards family in your thoughts and prayers.
