Junious F. Wells

Mr. Junious Franklin Wells departed this life on February 23, 2020 at Riverside Regional Hospital, Newport News, VA. Junious was born on November 15, 1932 to the late Junious and Gertrude Wells of Isle of Wight, VA. He was employed at the Newport News Shipyard and Smithfield Packing Plant. Junious retired from both places of employment after 30 years of service. He was a great person who loved the Lord. He attended Harvest Driven Ministries with his daughter. He also attended Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia of Smithfield, VA, where he loved to play dominoes with his friends. Junious was married to the late Thelma Butler Wells for 41 years. He is survived by his daughter Jeanette Bailey (Terence), one step son Gary Butler (Deborah), three brothers Herbert Wells of Smithfield, VA, David Wells (Peggy) and Leo Wells (Irene) both of Newport News, VA; five grandchildren Dontrae Jordan, Narada Banks, Italia Butler, La'Brice Bailey, and Yasmine King; three sisters-in-law Deloris Jones (Ralph), Brenda Ellsworth (Herbert), and Wanda Butler; five brothers-in-law Donald Butler, James Butler, Marvin Butler (Julie), Gerald Butler, and Cecil Butler (Elonka), and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Memories of his kindness and meek spirit will be with us forever. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday 12 PM, March 2, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Sunday March 1, 2020 from 2-5 PM at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Junious is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Wells Family in prayer.
