Bubba was an Army Veteran with a love for the outdoors. His passion led him to be the Park Foreman for Nike Park in Smithfield, Virginia for many years. After retiring, his love for children led him to work with the public schools of Franklin and Isle of Wight as a dedicated bus driver. Beloved by the community, Bubba was known as the ultimate outdoorsman, both in hunting and fishing. He loved to expose others to the great outdoors, especially youths, teaching them to hunt and fish. He had a true love for sports. Sundays you could find him watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. Many will remember Bubba as a coach for the Windsor Knights Football team or as a passionate baseball player. At family events, he was often the grill master, smoking pigs and steaming crabs. He had a love for traveling and was well known for his infectious smile and quick wit. Bubba was a family man and a father to many sons and daughters. Bubba served his country, community, family and now continues in the service of the Lord as he did while a faithful member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He will be truly missed by all who came to know him.
