Josephine Ellis Jones

Josephine Jones was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 19, 2020. Josephine Jones was a loving, caring, and strong willed person who loved to cook and take care of everyone. Josephine always did things her way. She was a hard worker and a manager at McDonalds for many years. She was also a dedicated worker at Waverly Nursing Home. She was dedicated to her church. Her greatest joy was her son Lamont, her grandkids, and her nieces and nephews. She loved her family and friends dearly .Everybody who met her loved her; she was full of life. Josephine Jones was preceded in death by her parents Linwood and Lucy Ellis; her brother Lawerance Ellis, brother Robert Elllis, sister Carine Johnson, brother Richard Ellis, sister Annette Ellis, and brother Earl Elllis. She leaves to cherish her memories her son Lamont Ellis and her three grandkids Faleesha, Sheaanna, and Lamont Jr.; Her brothers and sisters Virginia Gilliam Sisroe Ellis, Dorothy Edwards (Anthony) Noreen Johnson, Joe Ellis (Debra), Helen Jones, Ronald Ellis, Alexander Ellis, Tony Ellis, and a host of nieces and nephews. And also Sarah, her son's long time companion. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12pm Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Shivers Funeral Chapel BY INVITATION ONLY. In compliance with CDC guidelines, limited attendance will be adhered to and required. The service will be live streamed on Shivers Funeral Chapel Facebook page.
