John M. Deloatch, Jr.

John M. Deloatch Jr., 62, entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2025, at his home after a long illness. He was born on April 18, 1963, to the late John M. Deloatch Sr. and the late Elizabeth Valentine Deloatch. John was lovingly adopted and nurtured by the late John A. Bynum and the late Maude Deloatch Bynum whose care, support, and devotion helped shape the man he became.

John was a hardworking and dedicated employee throughout his career. Over the years, he held roles with Smithfield Foods, Newport News Shipyard, Lowe’s Distribution, and other companies. His work included leadership, skilled labor, and craftsmanship, and he liras known for his reliability , strong work ethic , and willingness to learn and support others. John took pride in every job he performed and valued the relationships he built along the way.

He leaves to cherish his devoted sister, Emma his lifelong caregiver from the day he joined the family as an infant along with a host of-nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends who will forever remember his presence and quiet resilience. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at 11 am on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Deloatch family in your thoughts and prayers.
