Jeremy Demetrius Harrison transitioned from this life Saturday November 2, 2019. The Life of Jeremy Demetrius Harrison "Earth hath no sorrow that heaven cannot heal, and Jesus will never leave or forsake you." Jeremy Demetrius Harrison was born on July 11, 1979 to Dora Mae and Levance Harrison. He is the youngest of his siblings. On November 2, 2019, God sent the angel to bring him home. Demetrius was preceded in death by his father Levance Harrison. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Dora Mae Harrison of Windsor, VA; three sons Demetrius Willis and Jeremy D. Harrison Jr. of Suffolk, VA and Zander Harrison of Smithfield, VA; one daughter Mykala Willis of Suffolk, VA; two grandchildren of Suffolk, VA; two brothers Levance L. Harrison (Vanessa) and William D. Harrison of Windsor, VA; two sisters Glenda Herd of Windsor, VA and Dora F. Anderson of Hampton, VA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Yes, he is gone and we don't understand. But here is a poem that expresses comfort to our hearts today. He Is Gone You can shed tears that he is gone or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all he left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he's gone or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what he wants - smile, open your eyes, love, and go on. He will be missed but because the angel came he had to leave. A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 am Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Viewing will take place Friday November 8, 2019 from 4-7pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel.
