Jeffrey M. Brown

On June 11, 2025, Jeffrey M. Brown was called by God from this earthly journey to his heavenly home.

Jeffrey was born March 3, 1964 to the late Barbara Jean Davis Smallwood and the late Bobby Price.

Jeffrey attended Southampton High School. He was a self-employed mechanic. He loved working on vehicles. He enjoyed fishing and playing music. He loved joking with people. Jeffrey’s favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his mother Barbara Jean Davis Smallwood; father Bobby Price; wife Angela Stringfield Brown; grandmothers Bessie Davis Atkins and Hillard Price and grandparents Beatrice Brown and Woodrow Brown.

Jeffrey leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Lavonda Brown and April Stringfield both of Williamsburg, Virginia; sisters Maxine Mozell (Michael) Windsor, Virginia, Sonya Bonner (Tyreance) Waverly, Virginia, and Theresa Renee Jones Wade, Virginia Beach, Virginia; brothers Gurney Fulgham, Wakefield, Virginia and Gurney Bower, Portsmouth, Virginia; four aunts, four uncles, three nephews, one niece, one great niece; and special people in his life, aunt Lena Davis Swarn; nephew Datwaun; friends Milton Cary, Edith Smith, Adolf Newby and neighbor Quira.

Jeffrey will be truly missed.

On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, Viewing will take place from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. At 12pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, a Celebration of Life will also be held at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Please keep the Brown family in your Thoughts and prayers.
