James Arthur Delk, 60 departed this life Tuesday, July 15, 2014 6:00pm at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News , VA.James was born February 28, 1954 to the late Nora Jane Uzzle Mack and James Delk.He was educated in the Newport News Public School System.In his youth he attended the Saint Paul AME Church, Newport News, VA.James also served in the U. S. Marine Corp. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Joyce Ann Delk Massenburg . The memory of JamesArthur will be cherished by one uncle, George Arthur Uzzle (Gladys); One Aunt, Alberta Winslow; a stepfather Robert Mack;other relatives include aunts,Sheila M. Uzzle, Barbara Uzzle, Shirley Boone, Mary J. Kendall and Lucy W. Gray, cousins, other relatives and friends. A tribute of celebration to his life will be held 12pm Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, Virginia. Arrangements by Shivers Funeral Chapel.
