Ivor Mae Bynum Obituary

On Saturday, November 25, 2023, God in his divine wisdom called one of his servants, Ivor Mae Bynum, to her eternal rest. She passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Hampton, VA.  with family by her bedside.

Ivor was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Bertha Hill.

She is survived by her eight children Terry Hill (Yvonne), Ricky Hill (Tondra), Daphne Liggins (Kevin), James Bynum, Jr. (Faye), Kinsey Bynum (Nechole), Sonya Bynum, Aundra Bynum (Neteka), and Corey Bynum; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Also missing her greatly are her sister Agnes Kearney, aunts Martha Edwards, Nellie Goodman, and Orlean Lawrence, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

 A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00am on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Mt. Tabor COGIC, 13468 Waterworks Road, Smithfield, VA23430.  Viewing will take place on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 3-6pm at the Chapel.  Interment immediately following the service at Christian Home Baptist Church Cemetery, 20123 Longview Drive Rt 602, Windsor, VA 23487.  Please keep the Hill-Bynum family in your thoughts and prayers.
