MISS ME BUT LET ME GO….
When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me,
I want no rights in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little–but not too long, And not with your head bowed low, Remember the love we once shared, Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, And each must go alone, It's all a part of the master's plan, A step on the road to home! When you are lonely and sick of heart, Go to the friends we know. And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds, Miss me but let me go.
“I’ve Gone Home”
“I’ve gone home to be with Jesus In this world I could no longer stay, Half way up the stairs, Till the Savior come to show the way. My work in this world was done, Let there be no tears to cry, How beautiful this Heaven, This place called The Sweet By and By. I have heard bells ringing, For this soul that has come home. Weather by death or rapture, I’ll forever sit at God’s throne. I’m basking in the glories of heaven, I have looked in the dear Savior’s face, I have seen the saints long since gone, All those He saved by His grace. I hear the angels singing, their voices Are so sweet, How wonderful, how wonderful, to sit at the Savior’s feet. Blessed eternity at last is mine, Loved one, weep not for me, Praise Jesus and His Holy Name I am where I have longed to be.”
