Gary L Cooper

Gary Leon Cooper, 57, passed away August 6, 2016 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC. He was born on Oct. 30, 1958 to the late John Sr., and Virta Picott Cooper. For several years Gray worked at the Smithfield Packing Company. Gary was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and you could always look to him for the latest trend for each season. Gary is survived byhis three children; Gary Jr., Steven, and Justin Cooper, six siblings; Evoria Newby, John Cooper Jr., Lee Cooper, Betty Jackson, Glenda Cooper, Evelyn Greene and a host of other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held 4pm on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, Va. Viewing will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 4pm - 7pm at the Chapel. Interment will be private. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
