Francina D. Burnett-Herron

Francina Dierdria Burnett-Herron slipped quietly away to be with the Lord at her home in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 10.59 P. M."Cina," as she was lovingly called, was born December 13, 1971, in Portsmouth, Virginia. Her parents are Mr. Lawrence and Mrs. Theresa Lott and Mr. Alfonzo and Mrs. Christine Burnett. She was a graduate of Wilson High School, Portsmouth, Virginia. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in the Science of Nursing from Norfolk State University. She was employed as a Registered Nursing supervisor at Autumn Care of Portsmouth, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Cina leaves behind to mourn her passing four children; Tajonee A. Wilson Holmes (Justin) of Newport News, Virginia, Destiny Herron of Suffolk, Virginia, Elijah Herron of Newport News, Virginia and Ameerah Herron of the home, six grandchildren; Ju'Tajee Holmes, Justin Holmes Jr., Ju'Vonte' Holmes, Juelz Holmes, Justis Holmes, and Ju'Kye Holmes, five sisters; Nicole Wilson-Rice, Sandra Golden-Lewis, Marian Blount-Fagan, Tamika Winfree, and Latitia Elliott and a host of other relatives and friends.

Due to inclement weather, A Celebration of Life service is tentatively scheduled to be held11:00am Tuesday, September 18, 2018at Little Zion Baptist Church, Smithfield, VA. Viewing is tentatively scheduled to be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 4-7pm at the chapel. Interment will be in the Oak Grove cemetery Portsmouth, VA. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel, Smithfield, Virginia.
