Felicia Lenora Eley

On Thursday, January 18, 2024 God called home our precious Felicia Lenora Eley.

Felicia was born January 1, 1975 in Richmond, Virginia to Sharon Young Eley and Howard P. Eley, Jr. She attended Newport News Public Schools. Felicia resided in Prince George, VA for a short time before settling and working in Newport News, VA.

Felicia was a good person that everyone loved. She loved her family dearly and would always lend her helping hand whenever needed. Felicia was a joyous person with the sweetest disposition and willingness to give all she had to others. She truly enjoyed dancing and cooking.

She was preceded in death by a sister Melinda S. Eley; paternal grandparents Howard and Margaret Eley; and maternal grandparents Mervin and Iola Young.

She leaves to cherish her memory her only son George P. Eley of Prince George, VA, whom she loved dearly. Her parents Sharon Young Eley of Newport News, VA and Howard P. Eley, Jr (Kimberly) of Prince George, VA; four grandchildren Zyse’Quan, Zyse’Aire, Zae’Ahni, and Za’kai; four sisters Nikkisha Eley and Ramona Eley both of Newport News, VA, Katrisha (Samuel) Eley-Linton of Covington, GA, and Monica (Tyrone)Coley of Chesterfield, VA; eight aunts; nine uncles; her godmother Dora Keys of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other devoted families and friends, and a special friend Jean Green.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Shivers Funeral Chapel.   Interment will follow the service at Booker T Cemetery Terrapin Swamp Road, Wakefield, VA  23888. Viewing will take place on Friday, January 26, 2024 from 3-6pm at the chapel.  Please keep the Eley family in your prayers.
