Born in Hampton, to the late Arthur and Eunice James, Eunice was also preceded by the death of her brother Arthur Lawrence James. Eunice experienced an idyllic childhood growing up in the historic Aberdeen Gardens in Hampton. Eunice was a member of the Dunamis Christian Center, Newport News, Va. Eunice attended Phenix High. Eunice was one of the high stepping majorettes for the Phenix marching band. Family enjoyed watching Dee twirl and as in life, she never dropped the baton. Eunice commenced her work career in New York City in banking with Bankers Trust, where she worked as a lender and computer programmer. Eunice befriended Caron Langaigne and both became devoted life long friends. In later years, Eunice started a second career as a realtor which she truly enjoyed. In the late nineties, Eunice returned to Aberdeen. She was an active realtor and community member. Eunice loved to dance and enjoyed the Steppers Flow group. Eunice’s marriage to Amir Saleem(deceased) produced her life’s greatest joy, her son Gaselle Saleem(Hampton, Va). Gas was truly the apple of her eye. Those remaining to cherish Eunice are her son Gaselle, her two brothers Rondall James (Gwen) Williamsburg, VA; Thomas James (Lami) Falls Church, VA; devoted partner William Morgan, Newport News, VA and a host of wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who she greatly adored. The family truly thanks William for being such a devoted partner and caretaker for Dee. Dee, you may have spread your wings and flown away but you will always remain here in the center of our hearts.
