Eunice Estelle Bowser Pearson

April 4, 1943 — May 7, 2015

Sunrise April 4, 1943 Sunset May 7,2015 On May 7, 2015 the angel of the Lord called our beloved by her name to come and begin her final rest. Eunice Estelle Bowser Pearson was born on April 4, 1943 to the late Deacon Frank and Gertrude Bowser in Newport News, Virginia. She graduated from Isle of Wight Training School (now Smithfield High School) in 1960. In her young life she moved to East Orange, New Jersey. In 1978 she moved back home to Smithfield with her family and has resided in Virginia since that time. She was a member of Cathedral U.H.C.O.L. (Pastor-Bishop W.L. Blackwell Sr.). Her hobbies were reading (She was an avid reader. If it could hold her attention, she would read it) and bingo. Eunice was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a lover of people, especially children. She raised many (Raise your hand if you're one them). She was a true inspiration and fought valiantly throughout her illness. Though her load grew heavier and heavier she continued to carry it without complaining. She's now resting in God's arms. She's now at peace with no more pain. She fought a good fight. Her strength was amazing. She was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Linwood Bowser. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 43 years, Lorenzo Pearson and two sons Bruce Bowser and Michael Price. Michael blessed her with two grandsons, Hasaan and Melquan Price, and one granddaughter Mica Price. Two sisters, Juliaette Blackwell (Bishop Blackwell) and Francine Holloman (Chris), two brothers, William Bowser and James Bowser. A host of nieces and nephews and friends. Eunice reared and mothered Phyllis Yarborough and Regina Cobb and the late Sandra and Rachael Price. They affectionately called her "Mommy". From this loving union she was blessed with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has a "special bond" with her great-granddaughter Breanna Price, whom she helped to raise as if she were her very own. Eunice was one of a kind and will be missed by all who know and love her.
