Eugene J. Williams, Jr.

On Monday, February 21, 2022, the angels called our beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend home to be with the Lord. He departed this earthly life after a brief illness. Eugene (EJ) James Williams, Jr. was born January 19, 1957. He attended Westside High School. After high school, EJ joined the United States Army. He was honorably discharged. EJ was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Surry, VA. EJ loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, looking at TV and carpentry work. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene James Williams, Sr., and brothers Calvin, Paul, and Bruce. EJ leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Lonnie Batten (Jody), Carrollton, VA, three daughters Lashema Burrell (Sheena), Oxon Hill, Maryland, Eugenia Morse (Terrell), Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jasmine Bell, Gaithersburg, Maryland, one son Ethan Bell, Carrollton, VA, three sisters Barbara Atkins (James), Smithfield, VA, Glenda Knighton, Newport News, VA and Yvonne Hill (Terry), Surry, VA, seven grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12:00pm Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Surry, Virginia.
