Ella J. Keller

On January 20, 2021 God Almighty called our beloved Ella Jones Keller age 77, to eternal rest at the Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia. Ella was born to Benjamin and Ella Jones Bailey on June 21, 1943. She was kind hearted and gentle in spirit. You could generally find her watching game shows on TV and playing Bingo. Ella had a tremendous love for God and a heart for serving people in His house. She was a member of Mount Nebo Baptist Church, Surry, Virginia. She never had a drivers License but was awarded her own parking space at Gwaltney of Smithfield where she was employed for 50 years. Along with her parents, Ella was also preceded in death by her siblings Kelvice Bailey, Joyce Jones, Curtis Bailey, and Thelma Bailey. She will be sorely missed by her husband of forty-nine years Henry Keller; her remaining siblings, Benjamin Bailey of Atlanta, GA, Bloise Bailey and Ray Bailey both of Newport News, VA, and James Bailey(Edith) of Smithfield, VA, three Aunts Beatrice Edwards, Edna Delk, Mary Warren and Susie Spratley; Many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she enjoyed throughout life. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 12 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Shivers Funeral Chapel BY INVITATION ONLY. In compliance with CDC guidelines, limited attendance will be adhered to and required. The service will be live streamed on the Shivers Funeral Chapel Facebook page. Public viewing will take place Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 4-6 pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Keller is in the loving and professional care of Shivers Funeral Chapel.
