Elizabeth Johnson

On November 6, 2024 our beloved Elizabeth Johnson was called home to be with her heavenly Father at Sentara Norfolk general Hospital.

Elizabeth was a very caring and passionate person. She earned her living as a caregiver, crossing many paths taking care of multiple families. She was devoted to keeping her family close. She will always be remembered for the exceptional care she provided to her son, Deshaun. Even at her weakest times she stayed strong and continued to care for him. Elizabeth's favorite thing to say was "Do Good Always". To know her was to love her.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother Lillie S. Johnson; her father, Thomas Drummond; grandfather James Spratley and grandmother Sarah Spratley.

She leaves to cherish her memory her one son, Deshaun Johnson of Suffolk, Va.; two aunts Eva Davis and Sandra Banks, both of Smithfield, Va.; two brothers, James Spratley of Richmond, Va. and Timmy L. Johnson of Smithfield, Va.; three sisters Lisa Johnson and Donna Jenkins, both of Smithfield, Va. and Rona Johnson of Hampton, Va. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

On Tuesday, November 12,2024 viewing will be held from 3-6pm at Shivers Funeral Chapel.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Chapel.  Interment will be Private.  Please keep the Johnson family in your prayers.
